I entered a photo competition for The Week Magazine for the category Junior Science + Nature Edition and they wanted a front cover for the magazine that was all about british wildlife and nature and normally they don't use covers of photos from the public, However, Last month I saw on there Instagram that they were hosting a competition for a photo cover contest and wanted a photo all about British wildlife and nature I submitted my kingfisher photo and a month went by and It wasn't until I looked at their Instagram and received an email telling me that I won and my photo was on the cover of there latest magazine that I went into WHSmith on my break and bought 2 copies of the magazine. It is honestly crazy and unbelievable to think that my photo is on a magazine all across the UK, And I won about £800 worth of camera equipment provided and sponsored by Canon UK & The Wildlife Trusts and The Photography & Video Show for the 2024 Scavenger Hunt Photo contest, Which is being shipped to me currently, And i'm so proud that I can be in this position to capture these amazing moments of wildlife that can lead me to these opportunities like this one, I entered as I saw the offer for all of it and it was all free to enter and when I was younger, I always used to buy one of these magazines, as I was and still am obsessed with wildlife and nature and always will be.
My College/University also write a blog post about me and you can see all the details and information about this on the website under the "Latest News Tab" Which im very grateful for and I will be posting my photo of me with the magazine and my winners when I get the camera from Canon for winning this amazing competition. I also got a note sent with my magazine and it was the Author of The Week Magazine, Dan Green it was nice to see that the author of the magazines saw my photo and write a note to me.
